28-30 Sept 2022. Sulong Peace conducted a training on Human Rights (HR) and International Humanitarian Law (IHL) with the officials of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) 9th Infantry Division Brigades and Battalions. Related laws, principles, and mechanisms of HR and IHL were discussed by resource speakers from the AFP and from the Regional Office of the Commission on Human Rights (CHR).
SPI also discussed basic principles of Conflict Analysis and peace.
This activity is one of the many collaborations as we implement the five-year Memorandum of Understanding between AFP and SPI in our joint effort in promoting peace, human rights, and IHL.
The training was conducted at Casa Basilisa, Guinobatan, Albay. It is also part of the peace month celebration of Sulong Peace.
