Paranas, Samar – SPI conducted a Livelihood Training with calamansi and squash farmers held on October 25-27, 2022. This initiative was led by SPI Chairperson, Fr. Cesar Aculan, who is also the parish priest in Paranas. The successful training was supported by the Mayor, Vice Mayor, and the Municipal Agriculture Officer. SPI would like to build the capacity of our partners at the community level on how to establish a sustainable livelihood to help augment the hardships of our local farmers in having a sustainable income.
This training is part of SPI’s Project with Misereor. This is only the beginning of providing small support for communities who are struggling to sustain their economic opportunities due to the many factors affecting their livelihood.
